The European Court of Human Rights has found that Spain has violated a Spanish citizen’s right to a fair trial by convicting him of libel at second instance without having heard him after he was acquitted at first instance.<\/p> \n \n

The TEDH has already condemned Spain on previous occasions for this very reason, as it violates the European Convention on Human Rights, and the right to the so-called \u2018double criminal court\u2019 recognised in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of New York.<\/p> \n \n
