Eduardo and Belén Sánchez-Cervera represent an American company that owns a private jet that had been seized in court for drug trafficking.
The jet was leased to third parties who allegedly used it unlawfully. After several months of being held at a Spanish airport, the judicial authority has authorised the return of the jet to its owner as bailee pending the final judgment in the ongoing legal proceedings.
In recent months, Sánchez-Cervera Abogados has advised the owners and their insurance company on numerous practical aspects, such as obtaining authorisations to carry out maintenance work on the aircraft while it was under interception, extraction and delivery of the black boxes for analysis by court-appointed experts, payment of airport taxes, flight permits and others.
In the photograph, Eduardo and Belén Sanchez-Cervera with the aircraft’s black boxes, returned after analysis by the experts.
